Best Shopify Reviews App: Judge.me vs Loox vs Yotpo vs Junip, Priced at Your Order Volume

A free app rated 5.0 from more than 48,000 reviews is better than a $300-a-month one for most Shopify stores. Here's what Judge.me, Loox, Yotpo and Junip cost at 100, 500, 1,500 and 5,000 orders a month, the reason to skip each, and how to tell whether your store is the exception.
All prices, ratings and plan details below come from each app's Shopify App Store listing, checked on October 8, 2026. They change, so check the listing before you commit. None of these four apps pays us to appear here.

Why Most Reviews App Comparisons Don't Help

Most comparisons line up feature lists, and the four big Shopify reviews apps have nearly the same ones. What actually separates them is how the price moves as your orders grow.
‍
All four collect photo and video reviews, send review requests by email, show star ratings and add rich snippets for search. Three of them, Judge.me, Loox and Junip, also carry Shopify's Built for Shopify badge, which has a performance rule attached: an app must not reduce the storefront's Lighthouse performance score by more than ten points. Yotpo's listing doesn't show the badge. That says nothing about its speed on your store, only that it hasn't been held to that bar on the App Store.
‍
If you pick software by the length of its feature list, this comparison will disappoint you. It's for stores that want to know what they'll pay at their size, for the handful of features they'll actually switch on.
‍
One more thing before the numbers. Your reviews belong to your store, not to the app. Judge.me, Loox and Junip all advertise importing reviews from other apps, which means the app you choose today doesn't have to be the one you keep.

What Each App Costs at Your Order Volume

At 1,500 orders a month, the same job of collecting and showing reviews costs $15 on Judge.me's paid plan, $29 to $79 on Junip and $249.99 on Loox. Two of the four charge the same at any volume. The other two rise with your orders.
Monthly price of Judge.me, Junip, Loox and Yotpo at 100, 500, 1,500 and 5,000 orders a month, from Shopify App Store listings
Shopify App Store listings, October 8, 2026. Loox at 1,500 orders is the Convert plan: $49.99 including 300 orders, plus $50 per additional 300. At 5,000 orders, Loox's Unlimited plan at $299.99 is cheaper than Convert. Yotpo's free plan covers up to 50 orders; its listing says paid pricing varies by order volume without publishing the tiers.
Now play it forward a year. A store at 500 orders today that grows to 5,000 pays the same $15 on Judge.me and the same $79 on Junip's top syndication plan. On Loox, the same growth takes the bill from $0 to $299.99 a month. On Yotpo, the listing doesn't say.
‍
The expensive ones can still be worth it, but they have to earn the difference, and at 1,500 orders, $15 against about $250 a month is a lot of difference to earn for stars under a product.

Judge.me

Judge.me is the default for most stores: unlimited reviews with photos and videos on a free plan, and a flat $15 a month for everything else, whatever your order volume.
‍
Rated 5.0 from 48,114 reviews, 98% of them five stars. The free plan includes unlimited product and store reviews, photo and video reviews, rich snippets, a reviews importer and syncing with the Shop app. The $15 Awesome plan adds Google Shopping, Q&A, coupons and referrals, AI replies and translations, and more than 130 integrations, including Klaviyo.
‍
More than 48,000 merchants have left it a review. That tells you it works for a very large number of stores. It doesn't tell you it's right for yours.
‍
Skip it if you already run Yotpo for loyalty and want reviews and points from one vendor.

Loox

Loox is built for products that sell on looks, with photo and video reviews at the center, and its price rises with your orders.
‍
Rated 4.9 from 9,774 reviews. The free plan covers up to 500 orders a month. Convert costs $49.99 with 300 orders included and $50 for each additional 300. Unlimited costs $299.99. The listing highlights photo and video collection by email, QR code and discount, more than 17 widget styles including galleries, syndication to Google Shopping, Meta, TikTok Shop and the Shop app, and a built-in referral program.
‍
For a fashion, beauty or home brand whose customers take good photos, that visual layer can be the whole point. For a store selling something nobody photographs, you'd be paying an order-based price for photos you won't get.
‍
Skip it if your product isn't bought on looks, or if you expect to grow past a few thousand orders and want a bill that doesn't grow with you.

Yotpo

Yotpo makes the most sense for stores that already use Yotpo's other products, such as loyalty, and want reviews in the same system.
‍
Rated 4.8 from 4,628 reviews. The free plan covers up to 50 orders a month. Starter is listed at $15 a month and Pro at $119, and the listing says pricing varies by order volume. Features include photo and video reviews, Google Shopping and rich snippets, AI review summaries, loyalty integration and syndication to TikTok and Walmart.
‍
Skip it if you want to know next year's price today. The published numbers are starting points, and the free plan runs out at 50 orders, which a growing store passes early.

Junip

Junip charges a flat price with unlimited orders on every plan, so its cost stays put as you grow, and the plan with Google Shopping is $79 a month.
‍
Rated 4.8 from 1,157 reviews. The free plan has unlimited orders and review request emails. Core at $29 adds review requests with photos and video. Growth at $79 adds syndication to Google Shopping, TikTok Shop and the Shop app. Premium at $299 adds an AI sales agent, multi-store management and API access. Junip lists migration from Yotpo, Judge.me and Okendo.
‍
Skip it if the number of merchants behind an app matters to you. Junip's review count is the smallest of the four by a wide margin.

The Video Layer: Videowise

None of the four is a video app. If your product has to be seen in motion to be understood, Videowise sits beside whichever reviews app you pick: shoppable video on the product page, video reviews and galleries, imports from TikTok, Instagram and Meta ads, and a free plan on the Shopify App Store. It works alongside Judge.me and Loox rather than replacing them.
‍
Disclosure: Videowise is a Weblics partner. It would be in this paragraph either way, and the same rule applies to it as to every app here: video is the heaviest asset on a page, so check your real visitor speed report the week after you install it.
‍
Skip it if you don't have video worth showing. A gallery of one clip is weight without a job.

Google Shopping Stars: When They're Worth Paying For

Google shows product ratings in Shopping only once a store has at least 50 reviews across its products, so paying for Google Shopping syndication before then buys you nothing yet.
‍
That's Google's own eligibility rule for product ratings in Merchant Center. Reviews reach Google through a supported aggregator or a feed you submit yourself, the full feed has to be sent at least once a month, and Google says ratings can take up to two weeks to appear, with newly added reviews taking another week or so to sync.
‍
On Judge.me, Google Shopping sits in the $15 plan. On Junip, it's the $79 plan. If you're under 50 reviews, start on a free plan and upgrade the month you cross the line.

What No Reviews App Fixes

No reviews app fixes a product with too few reviews, a low average rating or a widget in the wrong place. The app collects and displays. Everything else is on you.
‍
Northwestern's Spiegel Research Center found that the benefit of each additional review starts falling off quickly after the first five, and that purchase likelihood peaks between 4.0 and 4.7 stars. A better widget won't lift a 3.6. A new product with two reviews needs requests going out, and every app on this list sends them.
‍
Placement matters as much as the app. Where the widget sits, and whether it pushes the page around when it loads, is covered in where to add reviews on Shopify. For the three apps with the Built for Shopify badge, the badge caps how much they can cost you in lab speed. Either way, check your own real visitor speed report the week after you install one.
‍
And one rule that applies whatever you choose. Several of these apps let you reward customers for reviews with discounts. Under the FTC's 2024 rule on reviews and testimonials, you can reward people for leaving a review, but you can't make the reward depend on the review being positive.
‍
Here's the check. Open last month's bill for your reviews app, divide it by last month's orders, and compare the result with the table above. If you're paying for syndication before you have 50 reviews, or for order volume you could get flat, you've found your saving.
‍
Once the app is settled, the widget is one of the things on the product page that decide whether the visit turns into an order. Our product page optimization checklist is the list we start from, review block included.
‍
The best reviews app isn't the one with the longest feature list. It's the one whose bill you'd still pay at ten times your orders.
FAQ

Do you have any questions left?

Here are the answers for you

What is the best Shopify reviews app?

For most stores, Judge.me: it's rated 5.0 from more than 48,000 reviews on the Shopify App Store, has a free plan with unlimited photo and video reviews, and charges a flat $15 a month for its paid plan at any order volume. Loox suits visual products, Yotpo suits stores already using Yotpo loyalty, and Junip suits stores that want flat pricing with syndication at $79.

Is Judge.me free?

Yes, Judge.me has a free plan with unlimited product and store reviews, photo and video reviews, rich snippets and a reviews importer. The paid Awesome plan is $15 a month and adds Google Shopping, Q&A, referrals and more than 130 integrations, as listed on the Shopify App Store in October 2026.

How much does Loox cost?

Loox is free up to 500 orders a month. The Convert plan costs $49.99 a month with 300 orders included and $50 for each additional 300 orders, and the Unlimited plan costs $299.99 a month. At 1,500 orders a month, that comes to $249.99 on Convert.

Judge.me or Loox: which is better?

Judge.me is cheaper at every volume and covers most stores' needs. Loox is worth its higher, order-based price for products that sell on looks, where customer photos and video galleries do real selling work.

Do I need Google Shopping reviews?

Only once you have at least 50 reviews across your products, which is Google's minimum for showing product ratings in Shopping. Before that, a free plan is enough.

Can I switch Shopify reviews apps without losing my reviews?

Usually, yes. Judge.me, Loox and Junip all advertise importing reviews from other apps, and Junip lists migration from Yotpo, Judge.me and Okendo. Export from the old app and import into the new one before you uninstall.

What's included in each plan?

  • Founder interviews & business deep-dive
  • Comprehensive technical website audit
  • Customer psychology analysis (ICP, 5 WHYs, SWOT)

  • Meeting frequency: Bi-weekly (Starter) or Weekly (Growth+)
  • Analysis depth: Post-purchase surveys, support analysis, inventory strategy, KPI planning, quarterly planning (varies by tier)

Bonus (Growth+): Comprehensive email marketing audit from specialist partners

What's the difference between Flexible and Scale plans?

Flexible plans give you complete control over costs. You pay for the essential CRO work - strategy, hypothesis generation, analysis, A/B test and project management - whilst design, development, and QA are billed separately at $70/hourly only when you need them.

This is perfect if you have an in-house design or development team, or if you want to manage exactly what gets built and when. You're not locked into paying for services you don't need.

Scale plans include everything - strategy, analysis, design, development, QA, and implementation - in one predictable monthly retainer. No surprises, no separate invoices, just complete care-driven CRO delivered autonomously.

Choose Flexible if: You have internal resources or want precise cost control
Choose Scale if: You want fully autonomous, hands-off CRO with everything included

How do your pricing tiers work?

Transparent pricing based on your monthly traffic.

We charge based on traffic volume because testing capacity and statistical significance directly correlate with session count. The more traffic you have, the faster we can run tests and deliver results.

Pricing:

  • Starter (50K-75K sessions): $1,650/mo - 2 tests
  • Growth (75K-150K sessions): $3,500/mo - 4 tests
  • Scale (150K-350K sessions): $6,600/mo - 6 tests
  • Enterprise (350K+ sessions): $10,700/mo - 8 tests

  • Rigorous QA across all devices
  • Launch and monitor

Phase 3: Ongoing Analysis (Monthly)

  • Behavioural segmentation & data analysis

  • Inventory strategy (Growth+ plans)
  • Monthly KPI planning (Growth+ plans)
  • Quarterly strategic planning (Scale+ plans)

‍

Do you use AI?

Yes - but as an addition to our battle-tested frameworks, not the foundation.

We've built a proprietary AI system that validates every hypothesis against your actual buyer personas before we build anything. This ensures we only create optimisations your customers will genuinely respond to.

How it works:

  1. Our frameworks identify conversion opportunities
  2. We generate psychology-first hypotheses
  3. AI-trained buyer personas validate each hypothesis
  4. We ask: "Does this genuinely serve customer needs—not manipulate?"
  5. Only validated hypotheses get built and tested

This approach achieves 84% test success rate vs 45% industry average - because we validate with your actual customers before building, not after.

AI enhances our care-driven methodology. It doesn't replace genuine customer understanding.

‍

You maintain full control over all access permissions and can revoke them anytime.

  • CKitchen: $1.1M added revenue over 22 months
  • Mayven Studios: 50% conversion increase in 2 months
How long should I work with you?

For as long as care-driven CRO continues delivering massive ROI - which typically compounds over 6+ months.

Why long-term partnerships work:

  • Each winning test keeps generating revenue permanently
  • New tests stack on top of previous wins
  • Deeper customer understanding leads to better hypotheses
  • Compounding effects multiply over time

Typical timeline:

  • Months 1-3: Foundation + initial wins ($50K+ monthly added)
  • Months 4-6: Compounding effects visible (wins multiply)
  • Months 7-12: Sustainable growth system established

Most clients stay 12-24+ months because results compound. But there's no lock-in - cancel anytime.
